This work was made with number two pencil on paper. It was made using a vanishing point and parallel lines to create three dimensional space and depth. Line, shape, and form were used to create a polygon-based three dimensional shapes, Value was used to create contrast between the shapes and the octagonal lines, making the shapes seem farther forward than the lines. Some shapes and lines were also made shorter to seem closer to the vanishing point. It kind of makes me feel like I'm staring into a void.
This assignment was made using a number two pencil on plain paper, and the lines were drawn with a ruler. The project was centered around the use of parallel lines in order to create geometric figures. The shapes had form and were three dimensional. By using an eraser, I gave value to some shape to make them lighter and therefore appear to be farther away than the shapes in the foreground. There is emphasis on the shapes in the foreground as they are larger and made with darker lines. By creating depth, there is also movement from far to near in the drawing. Overall the drawing is confusing in dimension but still pleasing to look out.
